Dr. Markjackson Dumani is a specialist in Finance and Banking. He holds a bachelors and master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the Niger Delta University. He is currently a research scholar studying to be a philosopher in Finance. Dr. Markjackson Dumani is a member of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute of Management. Dr. Markjackson Dumani is a lecturer with the Department of Banking and Finance, Federal Polytechnic Ekowe. He was the pioneer Acting Head, Department of Banking and Finance till 2020, were he was appointed the Acting Dean, School of Management Sciences. He is a research enthusiast with published scholarly papers on financial inclusion, financial intermediation, cashless economy, credit risk management, corporate finance and other contemporary areas in finance and other related disciplines.
Approval for the establishment of the School of Management Sciences was granted in the year 2017. The School has the mandate to produce technical manpower with sound theoretical and practical knowledge to effectively perform a range of functions in the private and public sector. The faculty of the School is made up of seasoned academics and professionals who are excellence-driven is teaching, research and mentorship. The School has thrived in graduating the first set of National Diploma students who were exemplars in their compulsory industrial training experience leading to enrolment into Higher National Diploma programme.
